The sparkling of the "Sparkling" sparkle again... exclusively when they bring in "Bunkface" indie band in USM. Even they only perform five songs, but it was very energetic!!
Sparkling is an annual performance brought by Indonesian Student Association of Universiti Sains Malaysia. The performance that shows in the program such as a traditional Indonesian art and dancing, battle of the band and several others shows included the exclusive invitation of this Malaysian top indie band.

It's USM Graduation Day....

The Big Day for Graduate, one of the student objective is to celebrate this big day a.k.a Convocation Day. The whole day of cheer full. For this day, most of the photographer taking for granted to give their services, whether there is studio photography or an outdoor. For me, this opportunity cannot be left just like that. Making money should be putted in another hand. The most important is how you capturing the moment, in a lot of crowed, with limited equipment, and in a challenge light situation. It's really challenging!!

This situation remind me to the very first time i own a DSLR, its about 5 years ago. I've being given mandate to capture one of the art school student in her convocation day. With lack of knowledge in handling DSLR, handle light and a lot more....i feel lucky, i manage to handle it. Its really give me a wonderful experience that i cant forget till now!!
By that time, i'm not a USM student yet. Getting in that big day situation make me feel that i should continue my study and motivating me to apply this university and taking Art as my course. It's really impress me!!

By today, i'm not far from this situation. Now I'm in 3rd year. Time flow just like a flash...just like that.... I wonder...who i gonna hire to be my photographer on my Big Day.....soon....

National Cricket Competition

National Cricket Competition for 2009 presenting Penang as host. This national Competition held from 3rd of june until 9th of June 2009 participate by primary and secondary school. Bahagian Teknologi Pendidikan one more time was given mandate to record and documenting the whole program.
For me, this game are not really familiar, and as i know, the game are a like to baseball, but it using different method of counting point, the way of returning the ball and also the "run" after returning the ball.
one week of documenting this national program, I've learn little bit about the law and the method of the game. And it seem to be a fun games or competition i ever watch. (actually, i never feel interest of this game before)...that why people said..."Tak Kenal maka Tak Cinta"...

My Industrial Training

This post is some kind a report of my Industrial Training. It's a long time since my last post, I'm busy attend and taking documentation of event that's held around Penang, By the time i wrote this, it's seem several of my friends already got their own blog, and some of them change by the wind...move from Friendster social network to Facebook, it's kind a trend in KL to have facebook. they prefer to have facebook than friendster. some of my ex-student in KL call it old fashion social network to friendster.

Talking about my ex-student, last 3 weeks, I've received several call from some of my student, telling me that they got opportunity to further their studies in local and overseas Universities. Some of them got the preparation programme for medical studies. i can be proud because they still remember me and thanks me a lot. For all of my student, i'm proud of all of you too!!

By the way my student preparing for their studies, i'm here attend Industrial training for 2 and the half month, and it's already remain not more then half month.

After go trough for a 3 bored weeks, we at Bahagian Teknologi Pendidikan given an assignment to documenting and manage a national event plus attachment of Asian event. its called PKPSM or Persidangan Kebangsaan Pengetua-pengetua Sekolah Menengah from 24th to 28th of May 2009. The Event held in Bayview Resort Hotel in Batu Feringhi. BTPNPP was in charge in doing MCP or Multi-Camera Projection in the Grand Ballroom for almost a week. For me, to handle this is not a problem anymore, since i had experience doing MCP's or "Live-feat" of several wedding event in hotel. the different is only the equipment that used by BTPN. Before, i use "data video" swicther. it is different in handling as this model is more bigger then i'd use before. Another one is the model of video camera, the use DVCPro, Panasonic and Canon HX1 that really need creativity to handle it as it got several preset programme just like DSLR camera. Before, i used Sony Vx and Fx series. But this is such a valuable experiences i ever had!!

This event was officiate by Y.A.B Tan Sri Dato' Haji Muhyiddin Haji Mohd Yassin, our Deputy Prime Minister and cum as educational minister. He also launch a "Manual Prosedur Kerja" untuk Sekolah Menengah.

Our closing ceremony being officiate by TYT Tun Dato' Seri Utama (Dr) Haji Abdul Rahman Bin Haji Abbas.

While i'm busy in doing my job, I've received an SMS by Mr. Sharul, telling me that he will make a visit for observing my duty or task given to me by BTPN. So, i just reply and ask him to come and see me here at Bayview Beach Resort Hotel. So he can see my task here. He meet Mr. Yusof, my supervisor here and had a little conversation and discussion.

Bintang USM is an annual competition that held in USM on 27th of March, organized by Dewan Budaya. Every year, more talented student founded as the competitor are from branch campus from Transkrian, Kubang Krian and also main campus USM Penang. In the picture shows Ammar show his performance. He won the prizes for Best Performance that nite.

Experience in experimenting video. making video clip and video art are quit tough for me to explore because I'm more interest in photography. but the challenge are still interesting for me, as well it is an assignment. Playing with after effect software make me love editing video. it is just like exploring photoshop. simple editing for me that not an expert in this. enjoy!!

The time will begin...
the real life of working will expose us how working condition are. For me, its nothing then to try different condition of working.
After this, I'll back to see all the teachers faces,headmasters, student, naughty, good, sweet, smelly and much more to get trough...

And this is the time also to test our integrity in study so far... how much we rely on people and how far can we stand on our very own feet.

For those had people around, will feel silent for a moment of three month. Quit long haa... and for this three month also need us to think what to present for our Final Project, even it is still far away... but it is a must...

So...see the world from the eyes of bird.....learn to be independent...

As I look outside of the room that I stay that day, I saw a calm view in that morning trough the window. From the level 30th, I can see as wide view as I can. (But my camera can't capture as wide as that) That realizes me how Allah creates us as human perfectly, just to show us the existing of Allah. We are perfectly being created better than other creature in this world. But we as a slave of God, most of us never appreciate what God has given us.....and why??

It’s something hard to go through your life as everything around you moving faster than you... but the main thing is how you survive yourself...
Sometimes, people love you just because you're very good.... in the other hands, their jealousy make everything hard to believe. People change as time goes...but sometimes in a second!! They can bite you from your back. More people see people as hypocrites, but less people know about him selves as they never want to reflect their self. You know what?? There are thousand times worse!! People can change at no time just because a woman... acting like angel infront of them, meanwhile like a boar in the other side... carefull yahh!!
This slipper or rubber shoes shows us.... some time people need to be alone... and some time they are left to be alone.... by no reason at all. Do you think, to hate people make people love you?? Think again....

To Amer... you change your life at the right time...good luck!!

As i hunting for sun eclips on that day.... i feel frustrated becaused of the cloud covered all over the sun... so, i can't see it even an inch. With the frust feeling, i and two of my friends just keep walking at the sea side while waiting for our dinner been serve at Park Royal Hotel that day, i just captured several pic as i am out of mood... until i look to the sky again.... and this was captured....

I've been given an opportunity to attend a Photography Workshop by Peter Sanders, held at Muzium Kesenian Islam in KL on 20th January 2009. This opportunity been given by our dean to 2 of us from art school and 1 from mass comunication school. We had learned something about Islamic Photography....This Professional Photographer approach more on Islamic Photography as he embraces Islam long time ago and keep hunting photo in Islamic World.
